Victoria's 1st Holy Communion was such a special day. And after, we had quite a gathering at Nana and Pap's house because we were celebrating Victoria's 1st Holy Communion, my Mom's birthday, and Mother's Day! A great time was had by all!

Funeral Mass for Monsignor Roth

This morning at 11am was Monsignor Roth's funeral mass. It was a very solemn occasion. There were over 40 priests in attendance, as well as Bishop Guglielmone of the Diocese of Charleston, who officiated the mass, and Bishop Thomas. The Knights of Columbus were there and members of the South Carolina Fire Departments. All were dressed in full regalia, and there was even an Honor Guard and bagpipes. Monsignor would have been pleased. May he rest in God's peace. Amen

Lilly's Mock Gymnastics Meet

Lilly's gymnastics team had a "mock" meet with real USAG judges to critique their routines and help them correct their errors before their actual meet at Silverbells Invitational in Charleston, SC on the 13th of December. This was sort of a dress rehearsal for the beginning of the meet season. She was a bit nervous, but she did really well and is now looking forward to her next competitions.

Horseback Riding on the Beach

Our friend Carolanne and her daughter Claire came down to Myrtle Beach from North Carolina for the weekend with some of their friends from their stables. They trailered their horses dwon for a great weekend riding on the beach. The weather was beautiful and fun was had by all!
